Day 1

This is after the first day of "destruction".

Taken from the dinning area

Distinction between original kitchen and dining room.

Day 2 through 4

Working on electrical and plumbing.

Opening up the walls to get to the wires and plumbing

The new recessed lights installed... but not yet recessed.

Where to put the garbage?

hhhhmmmm....

This ends the first week.... pancakes on the grill outside.

Week 2

Here is the progress during the second week.

Days 5 through 9

Finished up the wiring and closing up the walls

Then start putting down the subflooring (Hardie Back)

AAAHH, sweet dining experience....

No Table, but all the major food groups are represented!

Next, comes the tile floor....

And this is how the kitchen looks at the end of week 2...

Update from last two weeks....

We were away for two weeks, but progress continued. Here is the latest update from weeks 3 and 4....

Here come the cabinets...

New location for the refrigerator

And then, the bottom cabinets are installed.... (and under cabinet lights).

Then come the appliances...

Update for weeks 5 and 6.....

Here is the update for the last two weeks....

Doors and granite counter tops have been added.

Two doors missing - now you know what's in those cabinets!

Stainless steel sink installed with running water connected - yeah, don't have to wash up in the bathroom any more!

Almost done - just need to finish the back splash tile and final paint job....
